In && Out looks at the musical score as the process of “Taking In” and “Acting Out” (Tim Ingold, Lines 2007), it acts as both composer and musician. Taking in movements and actions from a physical space it converts them into image and sound in the digital space, before acting them out back into the environment. In this way it creates a musical score and a feedback loop affecting its surroundings.

It uses the piano for sonic expression, and slit-scan imagery as its score. These work together to create an unstructured but atmospheric audio experience.
